Year 2000 stats will have absolutely no bearing on your players performance this year. In fact no year other than 1999 stats will have any impact on your players performance as far as I know. Y2k stats can in no way be used as way to predict your TRAD league players performance this year. They won't give you an idea what to expect from your players because they don't exist in the game yet. Your 1999 stats will give you the best evidence of what to expect from you players. Using stats from other years only makes the picture more foggy... not clearer.

Having y2k stats in this years TRAD leagues (especially launch leagues) would only confuse people and mislead them into thinking that this year's stats are having an impact on the performance of their team.

In TRAD leagues the current year's stats are only useful if you want to speculate for future trading. Since you are in a launch league... y2k stats are of no help that way either.
