small market problem

Posted By Cameron

I don't think Mark and company have thought about this possibility. There may only be a very small market to serve right now. I enjoy the game, so I believe that the market for this type of sim will grow. If the market does grow I would have to suspect that someone will come along yank it right out from underneath them. You can't move this slow on the web and expect to profit and survive if there is competition to keep up with.

Don't get me wrong, I would like to see PB survive and thrive. Things seem to have come a long way from modest begginings. From what I can gather, that modest beggining was more along the lines of a club rather than a business. What the staff and even the old time users don't understand is that those (like me) who have arrived in the last year or so might not see this as a club anymore. I have taken heat for raising this point before, but I will keep making it anyways. I responded to an advertisment in a magazine. I pay $120.00 per year for EVERY team that I own (I own three). I don't care what anyone says, this is a steep price for a yearly membership on any web site (even if it is a good product). I am a CUSTOMER, plain and simple. Sure it's a community of people who enjoy sim ball, but I only pay for the game... not the chit chat. I hope that Mark and company are not ignoring these types of comments from users, because I really would like to see the product improve, expand and survive as an original web based baseball sim.

BTW - I am often critical of things around here but I always sign my name.
