Punishing the Out-of-Positioners
Brian makes a couple of good points that are worth repeating.
If an OF plays out of position (e.g., RF to CF), why not more singles and doubles dropping in (of course, maybe that happens but we don't see it like we do the drops)
Second, as the code for the game gets stabilized, why not play-by-play results that seem to mirror player skill levels. The old CSN/APBA-based game had players "chugging into second" or "hustling into second" on doubles, depending on their speed ratings. Same could be done for fielding plays (e.g., descriptions of a Rey Ordonez fielding a grounder would be different than Walt Weiss).
