Actually, Jeff, the working results have no bearing on the odds. If you roll a six-sided die and roll a four. The next time you roll the die you still have a 1 in 6 chance of rolling a four. So, even if you roll 5 fours in a row (1 in 6*6*6*6*6, or 1 in 7776), you STILL have a 1 in 6 chance of getting a four on your next roll.
