It will punish Stairs
Despite the text you get, these out of positioners will cost their team games. Bank on it. In 98 Real Time 1, my team (Mt Washington) played Bahama at home, and the Bahama manager elected to load his lineup card with offense. Result: 15 errors in a 2 game span, with the likes of Caminiti at 2B, Fullmer (a DH) at 1B and Giles trying to handle CF. While I see a number of bugs and have voiced my concern, this is one area I agree with. One other point: often a weak fielder makes a great looking play...that a slicker guy would have made look easy. My major statistical concern is the equalization of players who start off the year slumping with those who start out hot. I hope this is a top priority; otherwise Real Time loses it's appeal, and we can all go back to playing offline leagues like APBA and Diamond Mine.
