Reseting Games...
I think "reseting" games is a dangerous thing... I believe that it may be alright to reset maybe one or two - but if you say that, then people will be asking to reset KEY games against KEY opponents for no other reason than they lost.
Oh yes... it WILL happen.
One of the most prevalent instances of possible cheating lies in the fifth game. If I lose the fifth game, there is NOTHING stopping me from turning off my modem and not reporting the game. I then just wait it out and let the robot play the fifth game giving me another crack at a win.
I've seen it only once, and I'm unsure if the oppoinents game crashed, or if they attempted this cheat. I didn't really care as my team was out of the playoffs anyway (I won the game anyway).
And once, and ONLY once, I have been able to start TWO instances of the same game. Being impatient with my awful 56K link (now ADSL) i clicked two or three times on the link to start the game. Sure enough - two instances did start.
I pitched to the first hitter - and they scored an out. I went to the other instance and it was not propagated. The other hitter was out as well. I closed the second itteration and continued playing the game.
**NOTE - I HAVE NOT been able to reproduce this. I have NO idea how it happened. I tried to recreate this glitch in my launch leagues to prove that it was a problem at which point I would have informed Dwight. Since I was unable to recreate it, I have not informed Dwight as it was most likely a glitch somewhere on my end.
But it does make you think...
As for PB fixing the game, the problem is not with PB... it is with people. Why cheat? What purpose does it serve? I prefer playing hard and trying to win on my own accord. Hacking the game (if possible) and making it so you always win is going to get boring.
