Other Factors
There are many complicating factors at work here. Unlike baseball managers, we know players' capabilities when we set lineups, and can see when a RHP actually is better against lefties, and can, especially at home, use these quirks to advantage. Many launch league managers are wile PB vets who draft players who complement each other perfectly. You also might be running up against teams with 7 starters who can analyze an opponent and pick the right 4-5 to start in a series. I'm NOT saying this is the whole reason for your stat aberrations, but a contributing factor. In general I've found this game to be quite good, and just unpredictable enough to be like real ball.
