My point was based on Hampton or Johnson seeing only righties
Agreed that Johnson kills lefties.
The point (I assume) of the Rob's post was that lefties get killed when teams stack their lineups with righy hitters that kill lefty pitching.
My point in an attempt to refute the claim that all lefties besides Randy Johnson belong on waivers was that if you compare the expected performance against a lineup of 9 right handed hitters I think Hampton should be semi-respectable when compared to Johnson. By semi-respectable I mean that their ERA's ought to be within 1.00 or 1.50 runs per game. Which does not explain Hampton's 7.00 ERA as claimed by a previous poster.
