Grade and Clutch
The basics.
A pitchers GRADE measures his effectiveness based on batting average allowed and LOPS & ROPS.
CLUTCH RATING is based on both the Grade and the pitchers ERA, as well as saves. If a pitcher has a high GRADE, but his ERA doesn't reflect this, his clutch will be lower. A lower GRADE pitcher that has a decent ERA will have a higher CLUTCH.
I always prefer a 6 GRADE, 4 CLUTCH pitcher compared to a 4 GRADE, 6 CLUTCH.
