I get a fair number of runners picked off (which really steams me when it happens), but I find that I score more runs when I set baserunning to aggressive. I get a lot more first-and-thirds, and score more runners from first on doubles. So far, and I admit my experience is negligible (20 home games in 2 leagues), I think the extra bases outnumber the pickoffs by a wide margin.
