Did Maddux leave for a pinch hitter or was he just lifted? IF he was not pinch hit for then something is strange.

As far as the White / Brantley thing that is hard to figure out. Depending on how many ready middle relievers you had I think I understand why Brantley was left in so long (maybe after White and Brantley were used there were no other ready middle relief guys). Whats puzzling though is why White was pulled so early.

I'd love to have some insight into the algorithm they use to determine what relievers are brought in when. But I suppose that information is proprietary and we will never be told.
