Pitcher BFA's
I have seen this happen twice, now....
Does the ROBOT have an advantage when using pitchers past their 0 BFA point ?
Or is there some unwritten exeption on BFA's when a game go into extra innings ?
SCENARIO :
Kieth Foulke comes in relief in a 2-2 game, 1 out in the 7th. Foulke carries 16 BFA.
Foulke then pitches to 28 batters.
8.2 innings.
He is unhittable.
TOTALLY unhittable AFTER his supposed "0 BFA" point.
My pitchers give up 2 hits in a row once they hit 0, and I feel compelled to replace them. Now none of my pitchers are as good as Foulke, but to pitch to 28 batters ! And be unhittable (0 hits in the last 3-4 innings) while being "overused" ?
This has happened before (there is a Garces post regarding the same thing somewhere earlier). Do only the "really good" pitchers get this "ability" to go way past their "limits" ? I know I've never had a starter do it, but ALL the relievers I've ever had get weak in the knees at -2 BFA or so......
Anyone know what the "rules" are on this ?
