On the schedule page games show up as "PENDING" but at times a game will be shown as "IN PROGRESS". I assume that means someone is actually playing the game at that time.

Why would a game show as IN PROGRESS and then a few minutes later show up as PENDING?

When you play a game off-line, does it show up as IN PROGRESS while you are setting up the pitcher and line-up matchups and then when you go off line to play the game will it show up as PENDING again?
