Old Timers vs Rookies

The manual certainly doesn't do a great job of informing you of many of the strategy related facets of the game; I spent the better part of two weeks when I starting playing reading over this voluminous message board. And never saw a tidbit about Tiredness requiring a baserunner to initialize it. For many of us, this is our first foray into SIM-ball, so any of those tidbits that you may know, that aren't obvious, would be beneficial to us rookies. This game needs a strategy guide badly; My teams consistantly play better on the road than at home; there are things that I know I probably could be doing better; yet I have no real place to go for research (unless I have several hours to kill doing statisical analysis). I also wish the game had a few more functionalities (play until end of half innings, lineup by opposing starter, some kind of replay when your on the road beyond the boxscore, Setting baserunning aggresiveness by batter, pulling my tired players on the road during blowouts) A great product, but frustrating to learn, and lacking as much documentation as I would like. And yes, I know that this message board serves somewhat that purpose; however, newbies shouldn't have to read 200+ message in search of why their platoon player suddenly quit hitting!

I don't think that Mike et al *Intentionally* leave out these tidbits; they just know them already from years of SIM.
