MOST times there is a legitimate reason for a game to go from "in progress" to "pending" (game crash for example).

After a game has been outstanding for a certain amount of time, it will revert to "pending" status once again.

A discussion about this was struck up a while back when some people noticed that some people had their 5th game in a series be "in progress" flip back to "pending" and then was being played by the robot.

Some of the more dishonest managers in the league will purposely crash their 5th game (if they are losing) and then leave the 5th game unreported to the league. Once Tuesday comes the league robot will then play the game giving the dishonest cheat a second chance at winning that game.

Believe it or not... people actually do this.

Apparently there was a decision made on how to handle these games... but I no longer remember what it was. Mike B might be able to enlighten us... or you could scroll down 100 or so threads to sometime in Feb or March.
