Brian Giles Revisited
A couple months ago I posted some very critical remarks in this forum regarding the realism of the Purebaseball Simulation.
At the time I had Brian Giles hitting in the neighborhood of .210-.215 with an OPS in the .700's and Jeff Bagwell with similar numbers.
It was pointed out at that time that if you look at a cross section across all leagues that the performance of the players is in line with reality. I just happened to have the "unlucky" Giles and Bagwell.
Since the time of the previous comments Giles and Bagwell have started to heat up and have raised their OPS to .905 and .901 respectively. While this is still significantly below their expected numbers it does seem that in recent weeks they have been performing at the expected level.
Since I was the one doing the whining when they were doing poorly I just thought it would be appropriate to point out that things are now starting to swing back to where they should be (and not coincidentally my team is now finally starting to win).
