Because each "McGwire" is in a different situation in each league, they will all perform differently. Maybe one of them is playing in LA and one of them in Coors. Maybe one has a good lineup around him, another is on a bottom feeder team. Maybe one has a tough division for pitching and has to face Pedro and Unit alot.....and the others get scrub pitching.

There are WAY too many variables to even begin to compare it to his real MLB stats. No simulation on Earth could do that.....and it shouldn't. If MLB cut down to 24 teams next year, and had a redraft of all of 840 players (no more, no less)....do you think that those players would have statistics anywhere close to their career averages?

I think not.
