Sounds like a one-sided sucker trade to me. Offer lots of guys who are likely to be cut for a true star. Look at the round 1 & 2 rookie picks and FA picks from your leagues last draft and see how many of them you would keep if they were on your roster and you had to cut to 27. Unless you think Bergeron is a superstar in the making, I think you would be giving up Edmonds for guys you'll cut when the monthly FA draft comes around.

Of course I once traded Mickey Mantle for Larry Sherry so what do I know.
