The fact is that this years Braves should not have even won 90 games. They probably should not have made the playoffs with the team they had for most of the season. They had 2 superior starting pitchers and 2 oustanding players (Andruw and Chipper). The rest of the team is pretty mediocre. When you're forced to start Weiss and Lockhart for much of the season you're probably in trouble. The fact is that getting rid of Bobby Cox would keep the Braves from losing any more post season games because they'd fail to make the playoffs if he was gone!

A manager can only do so much. When a team has the players it can win inspite of a bad manager. Two of the worst managers in baseball history are now going to face each other in the World Series. Put either on of them with the Braves of the 90's and the Braves would have only been 1 for 5 in the post season!!! Give Bobby Cox Mario Rivera during that time and the Braves win 4 titles.
