Thank you for that informative post. Everything you said makes perfect sense. It does seem that the radio buttons are inverse, but you would think they could fix this very easily. I wonder why it hasn't been fixed yet?

As for Mike's response:

1) I'm on of the managers that sets away lineups for each and every game. I like to have custom lineups and have situations on some teams where I do not want the same lineup for each vs RHP game (Stocker/Fox at SS on 2 seperate teams, I play them vs RHP in different situations).

Like you said, the only way to get around the problem is to NOT submit away lineups and just use the default settings and lineups you have entered in the front office. Not a good solution for some people.

2) I agree here, but it's obvious that the game startup system has serious issues.

Again, thanks for the insight and posting about this...it's been bothering me for quite some time. I guess I'll just have to enter the opposite setting than what I'm used to and hopefully that will help (far left when I want far right), and check it each week to make sure it hasn't been fixed yet. It's too bad they don't post something about this officially, like "If you submit individual game lineups, please enter the PH setting in away options the opposite of where you want it. This is a know bug and we are working on a fix. We will let you know when the setting works like it should be." Oh well.
