I usually average 6-7 innings for my starters, and I use a 4-man rotation.

I have them all set to Ace Starter in the options and my bullpen is at full aggressiveness. This seems to be the best setup for keeping your SP in for at least 6 innings, but they robot WILL pull them if they get roped early.
