You have to consider that these guys are all professional athletes. Don't you think that an OF who can throw a baseball on a linedrive for about about 300ft could also throw out a base runner or two? Or what about an IF that can make a play to his right and throw out a speedy baserunner with an off balance throw to 1B? Surely that same player could block a few balls in the dirt and catch a fast ball. I know there is a bug in the sim concerning non-rated catchers behind the plate, but if you realistically think about it, most MLB could probably fend for themselves behind the plate. Just because Tim was facing a team w/o a rated catcher does not mean that he should automatically sweep a series. Come on.
