I believe some of the fielding problems, players played out of position, arise from a player being moved to a different position in real-life. If Todd Zeile was your 3rd baseman, for example, he wouldn't be rated this year at 3rd.

To help with this situation, at least in Real Time, I would like to see fielding ratings based on the last 2 years. Just because a player doesn't play a position one year, doesn't mean he forgets how to play the position. This would allow owners a longer period of time to replace this position. The data from the previous year is available in the Trad leagues, so no new data would have to be gathered.

Along with this, I would also like to see an increased penalty for players at unrated positions. Giving the owners the additional time should allow everyone to fill their positional needs.
