Not all of the time
These reset rules are not ironclad. If you have a reasonable explanation for needing the reset, and have not had a history of reseting, you can get a reset which goes against the manual.
Case in point,
In one of my leagues, I'm leading the division (2nd half of the season) and during the 5th game of the series I had a game reset. (both are supposed to be automatic forfeits).
Anyway, I explained how the game crashed in the top of the 9th, while I was winning 9-2. I was facing a very poor SP and my #1 offense had no trouble with him. So, if they were to have the robot sim the game a few times, I had no doubt that I would win again and again. However, rosters are expanded so I wanted to be able to get some rusty players in the lineup (which the robot wouldn't do). Instead of having the robot sim the game, they allowed the reset and I played the 5th game again. That INN pitcher that I was facing happened to have a excellent game, while my normally studly SP got rocked. End result: I lost anyway, but at least I didn't have the robot forfeit the game. The point is, these rules are in place for cheaters and people that abuse the system. If you have a history with PB and are a proven winner, 1 reset in 100's of games played is not going to be a problem. Crashes do occur, as do the random power outages. If you have a reasonable explanation, then I would ask them and explain your story.......
