Why?
I just want the effects to mirror those in the game info. For the most part, it already does. Unfortunately we have very strong platoons. This is because we know the player's projected numbers far more closely than a real life manager. If Jim Thome isn't hitting lefties in real life, he platoons here. Hargrove wouldn't do that. In a sim like this, you can't expect replay-like stats. I feel the needs for a few "bug eradications" and a more responsive robot far outweigh any need for a change in the game's philosophy.
