Fresh blood would be wonderful; we need to treat them with some respect and allow for some learning curve. I made the mistake of admitting that I didn't know that Mike Sweeney had caught 4 games in the American League in 1999. I was "way off base" and told "DUH" - implying that anyone with any sense would know better. A mistake, I admit. If that's how we treat newcomers to this game, most won't stay long. We should work to be a little more understanding to those new to PB, and games encompassing both leagues. And not so quick to imply stupidity on the part of others.
