I enjoy the risk/reward of RT.....

With the exception of a couple of LL teams, I have never tried the Perpetual season. To me, that is basically over after the draft - a few un/lucky bounces in the playoffs notwithstanding...

I've been a roto-junkie for 10 years, and I think RT gives an excellent opportunity for people to utilize scouting, and doing other things like taking a shot on a rookie, where in a perpetual league, there's never any doubt "how good" a player is, because his numbers for the season are already there in black and white.

If you want to play a "hunch" in RT, you get to know if you were right or wrong in a month or so, instead of next season.....

The hot or cold starts are a point of contention which maybe could be addressed, but frankly I like the idea of trying to guess whether that guy hitting .350 through the first month of MLB is worth moving up on your draft board, or do you play for the known stud who is hitting only .220 ?
Do you pick an injured star in round 3, guessing that his 300 AB's are going to be better than that .265 hitter over the full season ?

I prefer RT because it puts more of the onus on the manager and how prepared he is for the future instead of the past....
