I totally agree. Too much dead time and I think the F18 proposal is a very good start. Holiday's are a crazy time (I almost missed the deadline to submit my away instructions in a playoff series) and we should be drafting now and getting started in March. If we want to stretch the season out a bit more, heck, we could take a 1-week mid-season break and vote for all-star teams and have the computer play against champiosnhip owners or something like that.

Also, it would be helpful if owners were to send a message (that could be referred back to) regarding their off-season availability/desire to talk trades.

If you knew someone was just not going to be around, you could save yourself alot of time and frustration not bothering to attempt creative trades etc...In G4, i feel like there are about 6-7 GM's during the offseason, its better in F18 and in PB99T2 (even that league has slowed down).

This is my opinion. I'm ready to start now.
