On Jan 23rd. 98rt1 completed their season. Since then I have made a # of forays into the trading market looking to pick up Rookie picks for FA picks. I am constantly rebuffed and with good reason; no-one wants to pick up a FA pick whose value has yet to be determined.
My questions are these: If the FA order is determined by lottery why doesn't the lottery take place immediately after the completion of the season? Why isn't the rookie draft posted right away as well? The order of the lottery in thet draft goes a long way to establishing value, and seems easily accomplished. Am I thick?
