Pitch out not a good idea
The pitchout is an option that could be abused...
The pitchout "button" would do nothing other than give the home team a "chance" at nailing a runner. I don't think having a 2-0 count on a batter will make too much of a difference currently with the game as it is. Even with a 2-0 count, the game still treats the next pitch as if the batter had no count. If the guys at PB were actually to have pitch counts impact how the pitcher throws the ball (ie: now that a pitcher is 2-0 he starts to pitch tighter etc...) it would require a complete revamp of the pitching/game engine. That is no small task.
This could lead to abuses as managers attempt to pick off a good basestealer with a good jump 3 times per atbat. I know I'll take a free chance to nail a good baserunner if I had it.
I think the current calculations are working fine for this.
I do not understand the need to "take a pitch" in the current game. Since the game is not pitch by pitch, I do not know why you would want to take a pitch.
I think there are other issues which could be addressed before anything like the above is looked at.
