Wood's 2000 numbers would still merit a high draft, but to say his numbers came up to pre-surgery is stretching it as much as his High School Coach and the Cubs have streetched his arm:

ERA 3.40 4.80 (still impressive)
K/BB 233/85 132/88 (signs of mediocrity)
HR/IP 14/166.2 17/137
My point being not that Wood isn't still a good pitcher, but that you can't ignore that he's a meltdown waiting to happen, which was the knock on D'Amico in some of the other posts.
