I can see how you might not want to do the deal. But as an opening offer I think it is not outrageous nor taking advantage of a new manager. The trade clearly benefits him for this season but it probably works the other way for the long term. A counteroffer might have been worthwhile from my perspective. But in any event, regardless of how some people feel about Arizona's past trades, I certainly don't think this offer falls into that category. Just my opinion, but you asked.
