Having problems playing-Help
For 3 consecutive weeks, I have been unable to complete a series. Very strange. I have been able to play the first 2-3 games of a particular series and then I would go through all the normal steps and submit my lineup for Game 3 or 4, the system would accept the lineup and then instead of being in the game, i get this message:
1) PureBaseball Server address not specified
2) Unable to communicate with host
3) Could not download any new game. Checking for saved games on disk
4) You have no game to be reported. To access, PB, www.purebaseball.com
The first time, i waited till the next morning after 5-6 attempts (turned computer off etc...)and then I was able to resume my series.
The second time, that did not work and my series was completed by the robot.
This is now the third time and I tried Sat night, Sunday morning and I do not have a good feeling here.
Each time i attempt to resume playing, I go all the system recognizes that I have already submitted my lineups and asks me to "press start" to begin the game and I get the above message.
I use a cable modem to access the internet. Mike is aware. he mentioned ISP bottlenecks that have affected him but he was surprised when I could not play last Tuesday morning at 6:30 am eastern-what could be bottlenecking at that time?
He mentioned talking to tech but I do not think he has had the chance to do so though he is aware that I am having this problem for a 3rd consecutive week.
Very frustrating. If anyone has had this problem, let me (and the commish/tech) know. I feel like i need to start every series as early as possible and just hope to not run into this snag but this takes away from the fun.
