I feel your pain...
I have felt for quite some time that there's some bug or something that has yet to be verified that favours the visiting team. I wish they would have home vs away stats so that they could put to rest whether this is imaginary or real. Too many times it seems that the opposing team gets those necessary homers that beat my club in late innings whereas it seems few and far between when it happens to me. I however must admit that that might just be sour grapes and maybe I dwell on what goes wrong rather than on what has gone right. Thus, I really wish they would have home vs away stats so we can put to rest this fear.
As to having the infield in on a suicide squeeze, Tim McCarver in his _Baseball for Brain Surgeons and Other Fans_ mentions that it's extremely difficult to defend against a suicide squeeze even if the infield's in and expecting it, providing the bunter is good. (See pp. 285-287) Maybe McCarver is wrong, but he sure knows more about the subject than I ever will.
