Never is a pretty big word. I myself never use it.
In this past series all 4 of my regular starters were under 30 BFA for game one. I submitted spot starter Grimsely as the starter with RHP/LHP lineups. He was listed as a starter in my OPTIONS for all games. I double checked/refreshed to make sure it took. It was there. Grimsley has GS (games started) MAX=14 REC=6 and at the time had BFA=10 and was listed as READY. NONE of my relievers had any starts.
The following happened:
ROBOT did not start Grimsley.
ROBOT started the only 100+ usage reliever I had on my team (Morris). All 4 other relievers were underused AND READY.Morris is listed in OPTIONS as MIDDLE RELIEF.
ROBOT left Morris in for 7.2 despite not being a starter AND my team being up 15 runs! BF=38!
Morris now has to sit for a series.
Grimsley, listed as starter, of course did not appear in the series and is now RUSTY.

So never say never- especially when it comes to this game...
