THE BLIP
Those in my league may be aware of this already...but here goes anyway. In the last series of the year I play on the road against a division rival. If I win 5 games I win the title, if I win 4 games we tie and have a playoff and if I win 3 games or less, its see you next year. The series starts and I win 3 of the first 4 games. Comes down to the LAST game. But, something happens and when that game starts, ALL of my players are playing different positions. Mike Cameron is the Catcher, Phil Nevin is playing Center Field and Bobby Higginson is at Second base just to name some of the changes. I DID NOT put them there and they played in the RIGHT position in the first 4 games. The other team has players playing the way they should. Game starts and my guys have 2 passed balls, commit 6 total errors, give up 3 stolen bases, don't turn any double plays, allow 4 unearned runs and lose the game by a score of 10 to 7. I immediately appeal to the commish, how can this be, let's replay this game. But I get told...sorry but it's done and get over it. The reason this happens...its a computer BLIP that occurs occassionally. What kind of crap is this? Someone tell me that I'm just not whining here but have a solid beef with this game. 32 weeks of playing and strategy and all to be decided by a freaking BLIP!!!!
