Another possibility
Perhaps managers put their better lineup out when they are visitors and try to work around the weaker pitchers when at home.
I know I do.
I try to avoid putting innocuous pitchers on my away line-ups because you never know when the Robot will grab one of those guys to close instead of your ace reliever. If I have to watch usage at a position, I start the poorer guy when at home and try to save the better player for road games.
I'd be surprised to find I'm the only one who keeps a better line-up out for away games.
