Brian brings up some very good points. We all know the data shows that the visitors do win slightly more than home teams in PB. What we are left speculating with is why. I do not believe the game has a built in algorythm to give the visitors a better performance.

Unfortunately, while we all know a heck of a lot about baseball I would propose this for discussion. We're not really as good as we think we are. When we are at home we have a false sense of our own superior baseball thinking & we tend to overmanage. Thus we lose games at a faster rate at home than on the road.

Here's one way to test it. Look at the unmanaged teams when they play other unmanaged teams. This minimizes the human & the robot does the work of both. Still not a perfect test, but it would be interesting.
