We had nearly this same conversation a year or more ago. I went back and couldn't find exactly where it was.
The thing is that every time there's a lull, rumors start flying.
However, each time there's a lull, things seem to have gotten a little worse for the business side of the game, so Gart may be right this time.
I don't have the knowledge of the business that he does, but if you look at all the broken links at the top of the pages where ads are supposed to go, you have to wonder about the economics of the game.
