Trading ethics/courtesy question
When trading, I routinely offer players to multiple teams. For example, when I acquired Orlando Cabrera on one of my teams, I offered Alex Gonzalez around to 4 or 5 teams.
Well, maybe it's that there are more inactive owners than there used to be. Maybe it's that we're in the off-season. But the number of offers of a player I have to put out there to get anything done has risen to more like 8 or 10.
I have never had more than 1 offer accepted - once I get the acceptance I quickly go withdraw all the other offers. But with 8 or 10 offers out, I COULD have more than one accepted - at minimum that would create some hassles for Commish or tech, and could also cause hard feelings among other owners.
My question is, do you consider this practice discourteous or bad form? Have you considered this dilemma yourself and if so, how'd you resolve it?
