Couple of things ...
Cameron, as a CF and not a corner OF, has a different peer group to be measured against. I don't have the numbers but the production of the average RF is much greater than the average CF. If I take Cameron instead of Ichiro I then will have a fairly easy time finding a very productive Rf, someone who can hit 30+ HR's. You, on the other hand, will get a CF who'll hit 12 HR's. Thus I'll have a 55-20 HR advantage at those 2 positions, giving me a tremendous edge.
Also, what's so bad about strikeouts ? For the most part outs are outs. Even a burner like Suzuki hit into almost as many DP's as he had Sac flies, 4 SF- 3 GIDP. So what;s the advantage of making an out while hitting the ball ? The occassional runner moved over ? I'd gladly trade that way overhyped accident for the additional power supplied.
