I agree that the robot will leave an "Ace Starter" in longer. Remember, if you go with a 4 man rotation, the robot will pull the starter earlier to allow the pitcher to recover on only 3 days rest.
So, I recommend using a 5 man rotation, and setting the starter to "Ace" status to get the most IP out of the starter per game.
The other option with a good pen, is to go with a 4 man rotation...which will give the starter more starts of shorter length, but overall will get more IP as the season goes on.
