This happens to me all the time. I send a guy to the minors for a week, bring him back up the following week, and forget to assign him a spot. This really screws with the AI of the robot. I wish is you send a middle reliever or starter down (you had them designate in this role) they would still be in this role when you bring them up. Oh well.
