What you call *cheerleading* others call *support*
Hmmm... I don't think anyone here is saying things are great. In fact, in my reply I stated that service has declined over the past three years - but I also stated that there are reasons for the decline. I would be panicing if there weren't valid reasons for the decline, but there are so I am instead patient.
You say we are "cheerleaders," I say you are wrong - I am a supporter. I look at the game, I am loving the game, I see the problems, and instead of sitting on my ass, or worse yet, posting whine after whine, I prefer to support Mike, encourage him, and bide my time. Do you think that 50 people yelling at Mike will make him work harder? If anything, it will just push him towards giving it up as he no doubt has more important things in his life than making sure we have a hobby. He has a family to support.
So why shouldn't those who believe in the game and who believe things will get better make our voices heard? Why can't we stand up and say:
"Yes Mike, things are not good right now, but we understand, love the game, back you 100%, and are looking forward to the future!"
Is it because our sentiments are not yours?
Whatever the case, I'm tired of reading the compalints posted here most days. I just played an awesome 5 game series where my team took the rubber match in 12 innings after being down 2-1 in the 12th. It was incredible. For that, I am willing to be patient while Mike gets things in order.
