Unfortunately it is not all that uncommon...

THis is not an uncommon thing. Losing game 5, you can just turn off your computer and let the robot play it to give you another shot at winning. If you lose, eh, so what, you were going to lose anyway. If you win - then great, you cheated the system.

It has happened to me about once a year over the past three years. Always the 5th game of a series. In all three instances I lost the game when the robot replayed it. Now, mind you, my team is something like 100-300 over the past 3 years, but still... it iritates when I might have lost one of the few games I should have won.

I don't understand the mentality of "win at all costs" because a cheat to a victory isn't a real victory - not in my books. I play the game to win, but on legal terms. I don't believe in tanking (many might remember me when I traded my first round rookie pick away to get Barry Larkin back in my first year when I thought he could push me to 60 wins. He didn't help, I finished last...), and I don't believe in manipulating the stats to earn a victory (placing a strong outfield arm behind the plate). I am here to play.

THAT BEING SAID - note that there are sometime legitimate reasons for a game not submitted - it could be that his computer crashed, the game corrupted, and he could no longer upload the file. Probably he would have wrote Mike to let him know. No matter what he says - SUSPICION REIGNS...
