Most of us try to be fair. I always try to put together a trade that helps the other team. The trouble is most of us (me included) overvalue our own players. Some do try to take you for a ride though. Personally I like to trade a guy wjhile he's hot for someone who's not, but has a better track record. In a RT league I made a trade in mid May where I got Aaron Boone for Dennis Cook. A fair trade, probably not. But at the time Boone was hitting a .203 and Cook was getting everyone out. The other team had 3 good 3B & Boone was his worst. The guy had no good relief help. Of course 2 weeks later Cook is out for the year so I make out like a bandit. But Boone could have just as easily been benched fro Brandon Larson & spent the rest of his career as a Joe McEwing.
