Theory VS. Reality
Unfortunately, that is now the case. Other owners have stepped in in an effort to help out. Some, Mike Stuart for instance, have as many as 7 teams. It stands to reason that these and others like him, willing to help, may find themselves overtaxed. They may deeem their act as 'doing a favor' and have less at stake if their teams don't succeed.
Ultimately, transient owners, while a good stop-gap idea in a growing PB league, doesn't fit with what appears to be the present shape of PB; declining participation.
Consolidation and the elimination of the unreachable players, owners, and teams seems to me a reasonable solution.
