There is no built in statistical advantage for the home team.
B8 results aside, the home team generally wins more games because most PB managers are considerably better managers than the robot.
Some managers do save their best players and pitchers for road games to offset the "advantage" the home manager has over the robot.
To the extent this is practiced, the home and away records of teams in a particular league could be affected.
