"Weigh In"
In response to the various discussions going on, I offer the following:
1. Spring FA Draft: I'm in favor of keeping it like it is now. Not knowing any of the teams position in the draft makes it exciting and stimulates trading in the League. While the rookie draft is designed to help maintain competitive balance, the FA draft can strengthen any of the teams with all teams having an equal chance.
2. PB Limits: I think applying a limit of 120% of the average PB value of the 27 remaining players after the rookie draft would help in enforcing some competitive balance.
3. Vacant Team Problem: This is a tough one. If I have interpreted the many thread's correctly, it's obvious that the programming involved in Foster Team ownership makes this option unreasonable at this time. I think that leaves some form of the Re-allocation process. My real concern is that the active manager should be able to keep his existing team if he wants.
4. Trade Approval: I favor the existing system of Trade Approval/Disapprovals. As an original owner in Ruth 1 and coming over from CSN, I have not always agreed with trade results but have never seen a better process work.
5. Non-Catcher Arm rating: I agree with a comment I read in one of the earlier postings that reiterated that Mike Piazza's arm rating should be significantly higher than any non-catcher arm rating. The point obviously is that the worst catcher's rating should be much higher than any non-catcher's arm rating.
