Money(increase)very short term that would bring in more cash flow or owers might drop like flys. I am sure Mike would accept donations though.
PB cap is a good idea lets go that way then make a ton of changes like Mirror the FA draft to the Rookie draft. Here is what will happen if you change the Fee agent draft-cause unstability league wide. Owners will start destroying teams, do whatever it takes to win one year then drop the team pick up the team who gets top RK,FA pick next year. Its nice to have stable leagues which are due to owners being rewarded for hard work. More I read and I read them all and think about changing things however you look at it; by helping some teams your be punishing other teams of that we're just go from one extreme to another we could end up gaining a few new owners at the expense of long term hard working owners dropping quite a few teams or nothing much changes guys just jump around from team to team which would cause leagues to lose its personality. I feel things are very balanced now...could add a harsher PB value Cap other then that if a losing team can not rebuild over a few years by getting 5 top rookie picks, 8 good free agent prospects along with making a few key trades nothing else will help except to turn to an extreme approach of punishing successful teams which will only hurt leagues and PB by causing unstability in the long run.
Purebaseball survivor....offering a good product at a competitive price along with advertisement and creating a positive friendly site. PB could bring in more money onced its gets Launch leagues going I know I never miss one...do ten or 20 a year and you got my money coming your way. what they had four this year? Another way is to be more diversified offering other baseball game levels to attract different type of interests. APBA baseball game which is much simpler(younger fokes might like and they are a big part of the net), Roto style even, a chat room etc etc. No question to grow PB has to get things tight around here and ADVERTISE. PERSONALLY I AM COMFORTABLE WITH PB AS IT realizing in truth for PB to launch out and grab a bigger share of the market it can not depending on just our monthly income, have to take a loan out like all business do to GROW(take a risk) with that money, hire a few more guys and upgrade the site...expand/Diversify the site. or PB could slowly...slowly improve taking a very conservative approach.
Last though on ownerless teams...they all should slowly improve getting top Rookie picks (while top teams get low round rookie picks)only other way to speed that up is commissioner or assign some trusted person to make a few key trades to speed their rebuilding proccess up. I would suggest the Commissioner or appointed person first trade between all the ownerless teams to balance things out if not possible then offer trades to teams with owners. Ps also if Commiss assigns a person....be best to let a person who doesnt own a team in that league help the ownerless teams.
